Perth city needs a united master plan and some strategic thinking uniting its many planned projects, rather than individual approaches. In this process the City requires people with planning and development experience at a senior level.
I wish to work closely with Perth, Northbridge, CBD, East Perth, West Perth and Crawley stakeholders, offering my experience, ideas and expertise in urban design and development. Amongst other things I would like to see:
- Refreshing the image of Northbridge and what it takes to achieve that and then, marketing it more effectively as Perth’s traditional and most diverse cultural, entertainment and business precinct
- Catering for existing and future parking needs of city residents, professionals and visitors
- Ensuring well thought out public transport connecting new and existing areas to each other and to neighbouring councils
- Safety measures such as brighter street lighting and appropriate policing to minimize antisocial behavior
