I have visited other places in the world including Athens, Singapore and Sydney and always feel proud and happy that I live in Perth. Even though we all love Perth there are some positive features that we can adopt or learn from these places. There are also some mistakes that have been made by other cities that we can also learn from.

I am sure  that this feeling is shared by many, and the excuses given that we lack population to support more intense cultural and commercial activities wouldn't be relevant if the appropriate planning, legislation and attitudes were encouraged and fostered. Perth does not have a major cultural difference to other cities in Australia or areas of the world.
